MATLAB Runtime
Quote from Guest on May 17, 2023, 2:38 pmI would like to use Paradise's standalone software, as the MATLAB app does not support parallel computing. At least not without appropriate licenses 😉
Unfortunately, I am not allowed and cannot install any software on my work laptop.
However, I have already had the MATLAB Runtime 9.13 installed by our IT. 9.12 is not available in this way.
If I now download the zip with the stand alone PARADISe and unpack it manually on my hard drive, I find the PARADISE .exe there.
As soon as I start it, the message pops up:
"Could not find version 9.12 of the MATLAB Runtime"
Does this really not work with a newer version?
Or was my idea too naïve?
I would be very happy if someone could help me.
Thank you very much
Stefan

Yes, it really does only work with runtime 9.12 as Paradise 6.0.1 was compiled under Matlab2022a. This is a decision by Mathworks, so it is out of our hands.
We could compile it under all MATLAB versions from Matlab2022a and onwards, but we haven’t automated this process and more importantly we would need more comprehensive and automated testing of the compiled program.
You can send me and e-mail jlh@food.ku.dk and I’ll see if I can compile it under Matlab2022b (runtime 9.13). However, it would be more future proof to get your IT to install the different runtimes.
Best,
Jesper

Thank you very much for your kind reply. Great and fast support 🙂
Apparently, many other MatLab applications also have the problem with different runtimes. Privately, you can easily fix this by simply installing the appropriate runtime ...
Unfortunately, our IT is sometimes a bit inflexible in this regard. Therefore, I will be very happy to come back to your offer and will contact you by PM.Best regards,
Stefan
